My creative escapade kicked off with graphic art, but it didn't take long for me to dive headfirst into the electrifying realm of design. In the year 1998 I ventured into the graphic design scene, but my passion for the dynamic universe of fashion. I harnessed the untamed potential of local materials from Kenya, like cotton, jersey and natural fabrics, to craft safari collections for individuals of all ages. Before all of this, I worked on designing logos and books. Then, one day, a fancy hotel asked me to design fabric. I used a special method called screen printing, and it worked like magic. I landed a big contract and made a lot of money. With my success in fashion and fabric design, I decided to take things to the next level. I shifted my focus to making interior spaces look fantastic. I began by helping hotels improve their interiors without starting from scratch. I created custom designs that matched their existing decor. Now, let me tell you, standing in the concrete jungle of big cities – it's a bit of a head-spin. But it's all good. It gave me this lightbulb moment – why not make the insides just as spectacular as the outsides? And that's how I roll. My globetrotting adventures and taste of different cultures – they spice up my work like nobody's business! In simple terms, I started as an artist, evolved into a designer, and now I create spaces that seamlessly blend the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of the indoors, making places that feel truly extraordinary."

I embarked on a journey to understand the sensorial experiences that shape people’s lives. It began with an exploration of touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing. I delved deep into comprehending how these senses influence our creativity in the kitchen, nurture us in the living room and bedroom, and enhance our productivity in workspaces.

This exploration was driven by a quest to answer a fundamental question: How could these sensory experiences help people connect with the outdoors while remaining indoors? As I delved into this inquiry, the path became clearer. My mission evolved beyond creating beautiful fabrics and designs; it shifted towards curating spaces that captivated the senses, transporting individuals to serene outdoor settings within the comfort of their homes and workplaces.

This transformation marks the essence of our brand’s evolution, where we have transcended mere aesthetics to craft environments that resonate with the human experience.

Our brand’s literal story is a remarkable journey of transformation. It all began with a focus on crafting fabrics designed to complement existing interiors, with a particular emphasis on spaces that held rich historical significance.

However, as time unfolded, it became evident that our brand was destined for something greater. I discovered an innate ability to breathe life into living and working spaces. For the first time, we ventured into interior design, reimagining spaces to reflect the very essence of the natural world. Our designs harnessed the warmth of sunlight, the serene evening atmosphere, the enchantment of stars and moonlight, all with the aim of creating an environment that allowed people to escape and unwind, akin to finding sanctuary in a cave, enveloped by the comforting presence of nature.

These designs embraced elements inspired by nature, be it patterns reminiscent of tree bark, the lush beauty of foliage, or the spirit of animals. Our brand’s logo today symbolizes a person beneath the sun’s nurturing glow, sheltered by a lush forest canopy. It epitomizes our commitment to bringing the outdoors inside, forging spaces that connect with the natural world and provide a tranquil haven for all.

Our literal story is one of evolution, transition, and the discovery of our true calling: not just creating fabrics, but crafting environments that resonate with the very spirit of life itself. It’s a journey from textiles to living spaces, and it’s the heart of our brand’s story.
